The Misfit Amish, LLC was founded by Mary Byler to create a secular location to provide information about Amish and Plain people in an attempt to bridge the gap between the Amish and Plain people and the English. Their goal is to provide support and resources to those exiting or healing from Plain environments.

Tears of Eden serves the community of survivors who have experienced abuse in the evangelical community. While many of our board members identify as Christian, we are not a faith-based organization claiming affiliation with any doctrine, denomination, or theological viewpoint. We acknowledge each person is on a personal journey. We are all at different places with our faith, church, God, etc. We try to reflect that in our resources and, at the same time, allow our community to be where they are.

Holding Out Help (Fleeing and recovering from polygamy)
Holding Out HELP (HOH) is focused on providing full-service care to people from a polygamous background. The HOH team and trusted volunteers have worked diligently to understand the distinct needs of this population. HOH provides housing, food, clothing, counseling, education and other services aiding in each client’s transition to reach self-sufficiency.

Advocates for Awareness of Watchtower Abuses (AAWA) is an international not-for-profit educational organization dedicated to raising awareness about policies of the Watchtower Society that violate basic human rights. AAWA is also committed to offering help and support to those who are mentally and emotionally afflicted by the Society’s teachings and practices.
Former Jehovah’s Witnesses
Former Jehovah’s Witnesses offers online support to those seeking confirmation about their past or current beliefs. It is most difficult for many individuals to cope after waking up to the reality of the real truth about the Jehovah’s Witnesses’ version of “truth.” or for those that have decided to pursue a different path, the shunning is beyond what they can handle. Their mission is to assist individuals in exercising “critical thinking” when examining the teachings of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Footsteps
Footsteps is the only organization in the United States providing comprehensive services to people who have chosen to leave their ultra-Orthodox communities and begin new lives. Based in New York, Footsteps provides a range of services, including social and emotional support, educational and career guidance, workshops and social activities, and access to resources.

The Clergy Project (Former Religious Professionals)
The Clergy Project centers on a private, safeguarded, and multifaceted Online Community of Forums. It is dedicated to providing a safe space to current and former religious professionals who no longer believe.
Pentecostals (Apostolic + Oneness)
SpiritualAbuse.org
SpiritualAbuse.org was established in 1997 when there were not many resources about spiritual abuse online. Their main focus is on former United Pentecostal and Apostolic or Oneness Pentecostal Churches. The Christian-Koinonia Support Group is sponsored has been in operation since 2000. The support group is for those who have left, or are seriously contemplating leaving, an unhealthy church.

The Aftermath Foundation
The Aftermath Foundation exists to help those who want to leave Scientology and the Sea Organization,
but lack a system of support they can rely on while getting on their feet in the outside world.
