The Vashti Initiative is currently funded completely by individual donors. Your contribution allows us to help survivors fleeing adverse religious environments as well as support those still transitioning and recovering from spiritual and religious abuse.
This amount allows us to pay for the annual expenses of operating the virtual platforms we will use to host regular, free, support groups for survivors. -
THIS GOAL HAS BEEN MET!
Once we reach $1,500 we can cover the annual expenses of operating an office phone line as well as a hotline that will be staffed by our team and other volunteers.
THIS GOAL HAS BEEN MET!
As a virtual non-profit our office expenses are minimal. However, we do have costs such as licensing fees, copyrights, platforms to safely share our work and store files, and other small expenses.
By hitting our $2,000 mark, all of these essential items will be covered; along with the phone lines and video conferencing networks that allow us to serve our clients and also run an efficient, virtual office.
One of the best and quickest wayS we can tangibly help those actively fleeing oppressive spiritual environments is through direct funds. The victim's fund is set to deliver small amounts of donations to survivors, mostly in the form of giftcards. This is meant to help victims secure basic needs such as food, clothing, temporary lodging, and other immediate needs. Our hope is that as our funding grows so will our ability to provide even more direct, financial assistance.
OUR NEXT TARGET!!
The needs are expansive and vary for those leaving and transitioning out of adverse religious and spiritually abusive environments. Most individuals will struggle the most with adjusting to the world around them. Many survivors admit feeling culturally and educationally challenged.
Having a mentor or advocate to help them navigate the outside can make all the difference. Our programs will provide educational and career aid along with a host of other resources and supports for those in transition and healing. Every dollar we make goes directly toward serving our community in one form or another.
