Be the person you needed when you were healing from spiritual trauma

VOLUNTEERING WITH VASHTI

What does it involve?

The Vashti Initiative was founded by a group of survivors seeking to provide support to others fleeing, transitioning, or healing from spiritual and religious trauma. At this time we are completely run by an amazing team of volunteers. All work and meetings are done online making our job accessible to many individuals across the U.S. We operate our virtual office space through Zoom, Google office, and Slack and offer training around these platforms for all of our volunteers. It is our hope to eventually gain the funding to have paid staff, and we continue to work towards this goal as we expand and grow.

Anyone is welcome to volunteer regardless of experience, faith/secular beliefs, background, gender, ability, or identity. However, we do vet our volunteers and ensure that they align with our mission and values before bringing them onboard. Volunteers will be asked to take a 'welcome assessment' with our HR team, and will be able to choose what roles they want to take on and how many hours of their time they can donate. Our department supervisors, monthly meetings, and office channels all offer a variety of ways for volunteers to stay connected and feel a part of the team. If you are interested, simply fill out our application by clicking the link below and one of our staff will contact you. We look forward to having you on the team!

SIGN THE PETITION FOR CHILD RIGHTS

Join us in demanding a USA Child Rights Act to protect children in all environments. We believe that child safety trumps religious exemptions, and are advocating for Congress to create federal guidelines to guard children against abuse and negligence in Adverse Spiritual Environments.
