Our Team
The Vashti Initiative is a volunteer-driven organization primarily led by fellow survivors of religious or spiritual abuse. We support those harmed by religious cults, abusive religious institutes, and other adverse spiritual settings.
Our Mission
To empower and assist those fleeing and transitioning out of religious and spiritual abuse.
Our Name
Some religious texts tell the story of Queen Vashti of Persia. Vashti defied her husband and king to stand up for herself and preserve her dignity. Though she sacrificed everything, her legend remains an inspiration for others who flee oppression.
